Re: Aggression Points & Attack Rules...

The algorithms for Aggression Points and Attack Odds are complex in order to give an interesting effect, not to confuse the player.

For example, the complex attack odds algorithm is designed to give maximum deviation to the statistics - this allows for huge surprises and upsets in an attack, even though the average odds are a simple 60/40. Otherwise, you'd always know when you could win a battle.

But the player only needs to know the general ideas, e.g., you have better odds if you attack or defend with more men, and not the details.

Thanks alot to the BLiT staff for the quick informative response.
I appreciate your checking in on the forums and answering our questions.

Great news, everyone. In case you missed it, release 1.08 is out. If you haven't already registered it, now is the time... Check out the review at Clie Planet for details.

I bought and paid for Aggression last evening, based entirely on the reviews. I won the first few games and was totally disappointed because I enjoy a challenge. Then I read the manual and reverted from Advanced to Medium (Advanced is yet to be introduced) and promptly had my *** kicked many times in a row.
This game is great and to-date the only real game challenge in the marketplace (bejewelled users take note...) and is well worth the memory sacrifice (I use Powerrun).

Which reviews were you referring to? The ones inthis forum or the one on Clie Planet?

You know? I cannot even remember which, although I think it was Cliesource. I am on my desktop and my laptop which I was using last night is at work and my NZ90 which I was not using is charging upstairs. I rarely buy software based on advertisements but am glad I did.

Talking Pro Experiencec

Hubba Bubba with a sweet Mamma to the BliT Boyz n Galz! *** was smelted on my first 2 'free' attempts, and when I threatened to buy the game, I won the last one!
I then went forward and conquered with my credit card, promptly whipped the BEGs & NEUs and MEDs, then whooped the Fixed 12s with Random allocation! what can I say ..... absolutelyiociouslyidious damned good fun! Presumed that the AI in ADV is not built in yet, because that was won in 120 moves ... and now, I will reconquer and re-knight the empire and await for reinforcement from the BliT empire to attempt to take back what I have crushed!
Thanks for the great game play & smooth graphics game guys & to all you not sure peeps- drop your cohooneys, mount up and be counted - or squished!

I've suggested it to blitgames before... but having the clock and battery meter showing (in the landscape NZ90 version) would be much appreciated. I hate not knowing what time it is while I'm playing.

Thanks,

-chris

I believe so Blacksadow, there most recent release was February 2004, you can't expect an update every month.

I think that blackshadow is talking about not hearing from blit for a while that's all. I also do not think it is "dead" but they do not communicate with us as well as they did in the past it seems.

I'm sure they are just busy. The game functions very well. If there is to be another update, it is likely to have added game features! Or maybe they are working on something new....
